The Church Life - Living Christ, Building Together
Why This Place Exists

A Christ-centered view of the church. A practical walk with Christ.

This site exists to help believers enjoy Christ as life, receive nourishment from the Word, keep the oneness of the Spirit, and build one another up in love.

Our Burden

Truth received as life and lived in practice.

Christian truth is not merely for knowledge. It should bring us into living contact with Christ, supply us in our daily walk, and become a practical expression of Him through His Body.

Our burden is to help believers treasure Christ, receive one another, resist division, grow in the divine life, and participate in the building up of the church in love.

What Guides Us

Four simple foundations

These convictions shape the way we write, serve, and speak about life together in Christ.

01

Christ-centered

Christ is the center, content, and reality of the Christian life and the church.

02

Rooted in Scripture

The Bible is God's Word and the foundation for our faith, experience, and practice.

03

One Body

All who have received Christ are members of His one Body and are precious to Him.

04

Built in love

The church grows as each member supplies Christ and cares for the other members in love.

About The Source Materials

Servants who pointed believers to Christ

Watchman Nee and Witness Lee are identified here because their published writings are important sources for some of the material on this site. They are not the subject of The Church Life. This website is independently run and is not officially affiliated with Living Stream Ministry or localchurches.org. Their ministry emphasized the enjoyment of the divine life and the building up of the church.

1903–1972

Watchman Nee

Watchman Nee was a Chinese Christian worker, teacher, and author. His ministry addressed the believer's experience of Christ as life, spiritual growth, and the scriptural practice of the church.

1905–1997

Witness Lee

Witness Lee was a Christian minister and teacher who labored with Watchman Nee and later continued this line of ministry, emphasizing God's purpose, the experience of Christ, and the building up of the Body of Christ.

“But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ.”
Ephesians 4:15
